JV boys end season with win
CLAY CENTER — Concordia wrapped up its season with a 51-38 win over Clay Center in junior varsity boys’ basketball play Tuesday night.
The Panthers and Tigers were tied at 9-9 through one quarter of play.
Concordia poured in 20 points in the second period, and gave up just nine, to go up 29-18 at halftime.
The Panthers outscored the Tigers 14-11 in the third quarter, and led 43-29.
Clay Center added nine points in the final period, to eight for Concordia, to make the final margin 13 points.
Kaleb Pounds scored 19 points for the Panthers, and Zach Hibbs chipped in 18.
