JV girls rally to win
Concordia rallied in the second half for a 32-28 win over Phillipsburg in junior varsity girls’ basketball play Tuesday night in the Concordia High School gymnasium.
Courtney Monzon connected on 9 of 11 free throws on her way to scoring 11 points for Concordia. She also had three assists and two steals.
Monzon had a pair of free throws in the final seconds to seal the game.
“Our press kept us in the game. We were aggressive, and got back and played hard defense. We also rebounded the ball well, and that was key late in the game,” Concordia coach Laura Krier said.
